CPAP Equipment
CPAP equipment is a device specifically designed to treat sleep apnea, providing comfort during the night and allowing the person to rest properly and return to an adequate quality of sleep.
What is CPAP?
CPAP therapy receives these acronyms, its meaning is: continuous positive pressure in the airways.

CPAP therapy is the most widely used and effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. CPAP therapy uses a device that sends a continuous flow of air to the patient while they sleep, the CPAP machine.
How does a CPAP machine work?
The CPAP machine captures air, filters and humidifies it, and sends it in continuous flow to the patient’s respiratory system.

The CPAP machine sends positive air pressure, which keeps the patient’s airway open so they can receive the right amount of oxygen, with gentle, relaxed breathing.

In obstructive sleep apnea, the muscles involved in breathing relax excessively and partially block the airway, resulting in snoring, involuntary breathing pauses, and choking sensations.

The continuous air pressure provided by the CPAP machine throughout the breathing process allows the airways to remain open and breathe properly.
Benefits of using CPAP equipment
A CPAP machine is a device designed specifically to treat sleep apnea; By continuously supplying air with positive pressure, your body will be able to get the necessary amount of oxygen, you will not wake up abruptly to breathe and, ultimately, you will get better sleep and more rest.

Using a CPAP machine will provide you:

Better rest and more energy;
Increased ability to concentrate;
Less daytime sleepiness;
Less snoring (or even elimination);
Better mood;
Reduce the risk of diseases associated with lower oxygenation (high blood pressure, heart problems…)

Parts of a CPAP equipment
A CPAP equipment consists of several elements:

CPAP machine (flow generator)
Humidifier
Hose
Mask

Price of CPAP devices
A CPAP device is not a cheap device, you should keep in mind that it is a medical device and is manufactured with the highest quality standards, so that you can provide useful service for a long time and without problems.

The public health system and/or private insurers (if you have health insurance) may cover part or all of the cost of a CPAP machine, if you consult them and are diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea.
